Given that I couldn't run (back injury) I was delighted to be allowed into the terrain to take "action photos" during the NAOC races. I want to thank the organizers for their help in making all of these photos. It is quite difficult to find good locations to take interesting, well exposed shots from and I was helped tremendously by the event organizers and in particular Stefan B.
I also wanted to share a link to a presentation I created about what I think it takes
to make an interesting orienteering photo and also to a
presentation by Martin F that got me started on trying to create a bank of interesting orienteering photos to help promote the sport and encourage more participation, sponsorship, and media coverage.
