Rogainers: Bulletin #1 has been posted:

wrc2015.rogaining.fi/bulletin-1.html

There is some confusing language on the registration rules for pre qualified teams - it states that the original prequalifying team must register with no change in members, but later on in the document there is language that allows change of team members up until a later date??? I will seek clarification from IRF colleagues.

Got to love the picture at the top of the page, which appears to show a control in a river.

At WRC 2016 all the rivers will be dry.

Yes I've seen them. Unfortunately due to yet another WRC/WMTBOC clash (the third one in four years), I probably won't be there.

They are saying that if e.g. Alice and Bob pqed in S. Dakota, then a PQ team must have either Alice or Bob after all allowed post-initial-entry team member substitutions. Alice can go with non-PQ Charlie or Dmitry, but you can't enter Alice and Dmitry and then sub Alice out for Evelin, not even if Evelin is PQ.

I never liked that Charlie anyway, even before he was non-PQ.

Good grief, it looks like Wil and Andre have PQed again.

TD is correct, I just got a clarification email from the good folks in Finland. The purpose of this rule is to prevent the "amplification" of teams by entering prequal teams with non prequel team mates, then switching out the prequals so that the additional members are still registered, although they would have had to wait until phase 2 if they had wanted to register as a non prequel team. Makes sense.
