Oh man, I learned that lesson at Albion Hills. "No problem, Michael. I'll just go out there for a few hours and ride every inch of trail in the place. Easy peasy." I think it took me five outings of 1.5-2 hours each, and I was still noticing and fixing little errors in our map until the last couple of weeks. On the bright side, I have had much worse volunteer assignments than that!
Ahh I wish I knew you were out...woulda joined ya for a bit! Did you do every trail up and down?
DD - I think I woulda driven you nuts with all the back-and-forth to cover every track and regular stopping to log them. Would love to have vet the finished product though given how familiar you are with this area.
If, for contrast, you'd like someone relatively unfamiliar with the trails to try the map some time, I'd be up for that.
Storm - Any interest in helping me setup a short 90-120 min event around Kelso before mid November? I've never set a course before so having someone experienced would be nice. :)
Are you the course setter for the O Cup?
Just got your message. Will respond shortly.
Bash - for sure!
DD11 - happy to help!
