| BorisGr: | It's not a bad idea, as you say, to have a more gradual transition from a slow warm-up to faster interval or tempo pace. Guys in my club often will do a couple of long strides before starting intervals. Each of these strides starts out jogging with the pace increasing gradually to all-out for the last twenty meters or so. I usually feel pretty good running fast after doing this drill. |
