| ebone: | Well, you didn't end up stopping by, but it wasn't all that glamorous a scene: Terry and I weathering the monsoon camped out under one of our not-quite-waterproof green canopies. Everything was damp--but eerily lukewarm. Before we turned in at 1:30 a.m., we had to anchor and tie-down the canopies and open up the sizewalls to secure them against the gusty, tropical breeze. I kept thinking, "this can't be July in Seattle." What a wild weather weekend we had! |

Yeah, the weather was pretty weird. I'm glad that all of the participants had a good time, though. Do you guys want me to do the results formatting for N&D? If so, just send me the spreadsheet. Also, I got the email about BEAST #4 being at Luther Burbank on August 1st. Isn't that the same day and location of SAMM's final Wednesday o-meet of the summer? I really should get a mountain bike for one of these BEAST races. They look like a lot of fun. |

You're right about BEAST and the SAMM O' meet. The two events were scheduled for the same date, so Eric decided to put them in the same place. He has more details. Mike Schuh showed up at Night & Day wearing his nice clothes (though not a suit) and when I first saw him I thought, "Oh, hey, there's that guy who said he'd come by after a wedding!" But then I realized he wasn't that guy. I think maybe he'd been at the Bathhouse for a play. |

Yeah! ...or borrow a bike. If you come to Luther Burbank for the O meet but don't do BEAST, then I'd love to have your help. I mean, what else would you want to do on a Wednesday evening--go home and go to bed so you can get up at the crack of dawn to work another long day? ;-) |
