I am planning to send in my Oringen registration soon and I was just wondering who else is planning to go. Does anyone want to organize some kind of USOF club that we could all represent, (i.e. USOF, Crazy American Dudes, etc.) or should I just sign up as the Crazy Lone American?

HVO is a fine club, isn't it?
Syd Reader will be there, and I, possibly. But it is usually simpler to handle registrations individually. Syd and Deb Humiston intend to participate in the Clinics.

I don't mean that we would do anything together, just that we would use one club name when registering. We could all do our own individual things, but we would show a US presence if we were all under the USOF name. Oringen does all registration by club. Also, splits are done by club so it might be conveniant to have one person pick up everyone's splits rather than each person do it themselves. Of course, this may just be more of a hassle. I guess I'll just go as the Crazy Lone American.

John, there is a vague chance I might end up in Sweden for O-Ringen, so let me knows what your plans are. And in general, does anyone know of any good events in central Europe over the summer, other than the French 5-days, which I am already doing? Thanks!

Ummm... the WOC spectator races?
Italy (or is this southern Europe?) early July
Slovenia: (or is this southeastern Europe?) 18--20 July

My advice to find good events is to Internet-browse first from IOF-website, then relevant National Federations, then event schedule and finally the individual invitation. Often you will find good events close to where you plan to be, and you will get good local contacts.
The big event this summer is (of course) Swiss 6 days (same location as WOC). The Italy 5 days has been postponed to 2004 (to be in connection with WMOC in Asiago).
