EMPIRE STATE GAMES SKI ORIENTEERING
February 7-8, 2015
FINAL BULLETIN

ESG pre-registration is NOT required to race. Competitors may register on site either or both days.

Saturday Race at Dewey Mountain:
Red, 6 km: M 21+ / F 21+
Green, 4 km: M 40+, M55+ / F40+, F55+
Orange, 3.3 km: M 16+, M 18+/ F16+, F18+

Please note that the Red and Green courses will feature controls placed on rugged and minimally groomed trails involving steep climbs, as well as others on narrow snowshoe trails. Skating is possible but highly dependent on competitors’ ability; classic technique is probably more appropriate for most competitors on these 2 courses.

Sunday Race at Mt. van Hoevenburg:

Blue10.3 km: M21+
Red, 9.2 km: F21+ / M40+
Green, 7.8: M55+ / F40+
Orange, 5.2: M16+, M18+/ F16+, F18+, F55+

While some controls have been placed on snowshoe trails, most will be found on or close to wide, well-groomed trails with lots of snow; skating would be the most efficient technique.
