Sounds like a nice vacation.

Believe it or not, Popik and the rest of team Energy ran the entire trail in 24hrs when training for Eco-Borneo back in '99. My old team had intended to do the same in preparations for RTNx - Newfoundland '01, but ended up simply using 100km of Bruce Trail as we were too lazy to make the drive. I still plan to get to it someday though.

Definately go out and check it out. I've never been so impressed with a Provincial Park in my life as this one. I want to canoe it next year. Just amazing the views. As for Popik, shite, they must have ran it lite, cause man the eleavton gain and lost along with the rock would be killer. I'm not that crazy enough to do that! I rather enjoy it as some R&R.

Yeah like I have said before...this place is my favourite part of Canada. Great hiking, awesome paddling, fantastic swimming. Anybody up for some winter camping?

I've never done the trail - but would love to try to run it some day. But it seems wrong to hurry through this park. In fact, there have been some really awesome AR races I have been in in Ontario where I wish I wasn't racing but just chillin' with my family. Of course, there is less puking doing the latter too - and no ropes.

OK, so now I have to start planning an autumn visit to Killarney! ;-)

Sign me up for that winter camping. I was thinking the same thing when we were in Killarney this weekend.

I tell ya' ...you guys are really tempting me to return to Ontario!

Hammer, in regards to revisiting sections of AR courses, I too have often dreamed about that. Particularly the first trek from RTNx'01 (Nfld) and both treks from RTNx '02 (Yukon), but as you say... a much more leisurely pace with no pukin this time.

I'm all for the winter camping trip as long as I can bring my snowshoes!!!!!! Actually we did a night last year in Algonquin and I really want to do something like this again, but a bit longer this year..... hint hint....

FYI. Fossil told me tonite that Scott Ford ran the trail under 20hrs, perhaps around 14hrs?? He'll get me some numbers to verify. That would be fast!
