Congrats on any PB. But any of this will be waking up your body and it will remember what to do at crunch time.

[soap box time] I think you're focussing/stressing about Easter. Think a little longer term for the next week then focus on Easter (yes I know when Easter is!!) just for the last few days. Funny thing is that the last time I can remember seeing you on a course was you hobbling back through the Start on Day 2 last Easter. Lots have happened since then!!! Don't be discouraged - smarter rather than longer will get you there.

Ok, I will focus on giving Eleanor a good time meeting relatives and friends instead of on me feeling unfit, how does that sound! Where are you staying?

Can I play with Eleanor instead of going out on course?

BTW, you don't *need* to run the long day - if Bridget and I do, then the Arrows will still have one more woman than ACT will.

Sure!

Sorry to say not going. We missed Aus in SA in 2010 when rockman had his first surgery. rockman had hoped during his chemo treatment to challenge Terry Bluett to an Easter comeback match race - but that went out the window after his (2nd) emergency surgery. I'll be furtively watching the results and marvelling at you! But also now realise I won't be able to meet E. :-((

alert - more soapbox - the biggest hurdle is to focus on the present. So when you are running focus on that - not what is happening to E or when you have to be back. She will survive, you will survive and so will L. When you are with her focus on you/her and don't think about running or tomorrow's race. So much energy wasted in not switching off - like on 'standby mode'. That is why so many mums do so well - they use running time as 'their' time.

Soapbox over:
silly thought - scared to look when SA is having another major carnival. Seem destined to have emergencies when SA organising. Loved being there for Easter 2007. Jenny will do a great job.

Actually, this carnival is primarily Robin's 'baby'. Aust Champs 2018 will presumably become my problem. Hopefully by then Rockman will be challenging all comers and Eleanor racing around the string course. Port Lincoln, anyone?

We'll start planning now!

You'll be fine to get around the long day. It may not be as fast or awesome as you're used to, but this is where 20 yrs of training pays off. take a couple of gels, settle into a comfortable pace and you'll get around fine (and probably smash half the field in the process).

Sorry to miss Burra and the easter catch up which I love...still nz should be good and we will put 2018 on the list. E will survive sus, talk to anthea about that!

SusC - Bomb is exactly right!! and not just 20 yrs of training - 20 yrs of brain experience. Go girl.

Thanks everyone! I'll be remembering these words of wisdom:). I do miss having freedom to exercise, so being out on course minus baby will be special time for me.

Coaching meeting won't be the same without you tt. And Port Lincoln is awesome, there so should be a carnival there at some point, is definitely worth the extra travel.

SA Champs are at Coffin Bay on the June long weekend. I don't suppose you can come down for that, or will you be back at work by then?
