Helps to have diversionary "stuff" to pass the miles.

The street artist's

Mayhem…
Near and far,
A virus that got out of the jar.
To laugh or cry…
Or just wonder why:
Earth’s in tatters,
That’s what matters.

Time or distance - or both?

Distance for sure. In my young and foolish years I seem to remember spending large amounts of time lost in the forest while orienteering, but that would have involved a lot of standing still and scratching my head.

So I was motivated to check my results from Day 1 of O-ringen in 1975. (40 years ago!) It took me 2 hours, 14 minutes and 10 seconds to go 6.4 km in H21B1. Thank goodness those days are over.

Bob, thanks for the poem.
