Well, shit. That does change things. Can you just change your ticket and have the rest of the family still arrive on the original day? Or are they actually excited to see you run?

My sense is that the least painful thing will be to change all the tickets. The peeps could make it to spectate either way.

Why did the organizers make a change like that... Hmm.

Could have been worse. For some reason we happened to have Icelandair "flex" tickets on that leg and change fees were only 75 each, plus some fare difference.

Changing (rebooking) the rental car was almost more of a bummer, I had to give up a really good rate. will be a few hundred bucks more over the 29(!) days.
