sometimes depress me - offering up red entries when I thought I'd done fairly well (and confusingly the converse sometimes). Often heard at computer - "Oh what? You think I was going slow?" But in general i love the availability to analyse cf others.

I apparently had an 'error' on #2 yesterday even though PH didn't and I followed him straight to it. He was ~2mins down on me for the day and we had a similar time for that control. The only reason I could think of it being an error is that we were cautious going through the two or three watercourses on the way there.

Mind you the six controls that I bungled on Saturday all showed as errors with two others where I veered off course and corrected not showing up so I imagine it's fairly accurate.

Doesn't it factor in not just your eg km rate but the km rate for all for that leg?

Yeah possibly - maybe Peter was borderline on being classed as an error and I was borderline being classed as not an error. We hit it bang on but were not all that fast from memory. I'll have to take another look at the map.

It's just weird he ran a 3:20 and I ran 3:22 yet it says I lost 42 seconds, although I imagine if I'd lost, say 30 seconds (relative to the total time on that leg), it wouldn't be an error.

Okay I looked at 1-2 again and have decided that yeah, I was a bit shit. it's the same length as S-1 (which doesn't even include the pre-start to the actual triangle) but downhill and it took me an extra 30 seconds. Poor form.
