I doubt I would too! Though, I was taking it easy and extensive clear-cutting, thinning and planting since the race has made it slow and unpleasant in many places. I try to pick old courses which avoid the worst of the new messy areas, but there aren't many nice areas left. And I wonder how long they will be left alone...

Looking at it from a positive angle - there will probably be nice new forest again when you reach H50 :)

Unless there are major changes in the way the forest landscape is managed these days, I afraid I doubt it. One thing that seems to be different with a few decades ago is that now thinned trees and material are left lying where they were cut while in the past it was removed. What will the forest floor look like in 20 years?
