Gil: You have better split going to #9 then I do. I am wondering which route did you pick going to #9

RLShadow: I took the slightly more roundabout, but flatter, route (stayed on the totally open land). Actually I didn't give it much thought at the time, it just seemed like the slightly easier way navigationally, not that either way was that difficult.

Gil: I did not have any problems navigation-wise with #9. However after the run I thought that I struggled up-hill and I should have gone around since I did slow down on uphill. Your split just proves that going around would have been faster.

ccsteve: We'd need a look at the actual terrain to be sure, but by my reckoning, it was almost 2 meters of climb, the one way, about 20 meters added run the other way;-)

But given the position in the race, the fatigue factor may have been more on the climb.
