I enjoy thinking of Joe Brautigam as a rookie. I wonder if there are style points for trash talk before the start?

I am really excited about your races (as always), and I have the utmost confidence that the courses and the maze will be of the highest quality. It occurs to me that a barrier or two on the keyhole could make routes much more interesting - as well as mitigating any advantage of knowing the maze in advance. Has the board of CMOUSA ever weighed in on the problem of imposing artificial, uncrossable walls, as have been used in WOC sprints?

As I said, you can publish info but it doesn't mean people will actually read it.

Hahaha, oops.

How are CMOUSA´s international relations?
Will the visitors from abroad be able to include this meet in their ICMOFWRE points?

I can't remember the details for sure, but I believe that ICMOF is, technically speaking and for legal reasons only, a subsidiary of CMOUSA. With that in mind, the answers to your questions are, in brief, excellent and yes.

I believe there has been one ICMOF World Ranking event, at Mike's Maze, on 8/29/12. With two ranking races.

Would live to be 'in', but work uncertainties preclude a good story.. pretty boring story actually. Perhaps next year...

Will there be live results?
Video?

How are the two Trail-O categories scored? Do two people get max points? Or do the drone operators get listed after the cool kids? Or something else? Just trying to figure out whether to bring the equipment to tow my hang glider up to make a pass over the corn. :-)

Right now the plan is that each is scored separately, so the winner in each class gets one point, the runner-up two, and so on. So there might be some trying to choose which class is weaker?

All this subject to change at any time, of course, or new conditions added. :-)

Learning from the best I see (WOC2016) ...or maybe they have learnt from PG?

Well, I mean suppose a drone operator gets a perfect score (80 points) but happens to snip the cord of one of the balloons while trying to get a really close look. Away floats the balloon.

Shouldn't we be able to adjust the score (like to minus 1 gazillion)?

I would give bonus (positive) points to GPS users during Corn Maze trail-O.

Other than a drone (or a range-finder if it works on balloons), I can't think of any electronic device that would help with this Trail-O.

Then again I'm not even close to being an expert in such matters. Looking forward to seeing how wrong I am on Saturday, though.

"Use electricity", not necessarily "electronic". As a for instance, an electric scooter can be used as a winch to tow a hang glider into the air. Just sayin'...

I believe my guiding principle will be similar to Justice Potter's famous remark midst a struggle at the Court to define hard-core pornography -- "I know it when I see it."

Perhaps I should add to the scoring that any damage done to the corn by any of these gadgets gets you DQ'd in the trail O' just like cutting through the corn in the other events?
