| bill_l: | That's a foot? |

| ebuckley: | Yep, that's what happens to feet that run 24 hours in the rain. Another reason why I tend to head west for these things. |

| PBricker: | I had about 20 distinct open wounds on my feet - toes, arches, heels, top next to the tongue - though only a few were still oozing by the next day. There was only one spot, on the callous on my big toe, that I would call a traditional blister. Totally different from what happens to my feet in dry conditions. I covered all these wounds with adhesive bandages that you leave on for several days, and my feet seem to be doing fine. But I haven't tried to run on them yet. |

| Charlie: | Do you remember that Ultrarunning cover shot from about 20 years ago? You know the one I mean. Can't remember whose foot it was, but perhaps you can resurrect and post it. |

| bill_l: | I forgot the smiley face on my other post.... :)
There's a 24 hour off-road running thing that nobody ever finishes. I can't remember the name now. But it generates some pretty nasty foot pictures. PrimalQuest usually does as well. Have you tried Hydropel? Granted, I have yet to do a solid 24 hours completely on foot, but I don't remember the last adventure race that I had dry feet for longer than about 15 minnutes. Berryman, last year, was 24 hours of especially wet feet. I haven't had that problem yet. |

| PG: | Oh, that was a really ugly one. I regretted it immediately. Bad editorial decision. Inside might have been ok, but on the cover, noooo....
So I'll have to see if I can dig it up.... :-) |
