you need more vehicles! get your mileage up!
(What would Chitown say?)
Chi town balance's me out because he has no vehicles. He is my offset for carbon footprint.
I thinking about a Tesla all electric car. Except that dealer is far away and would be a serious workout to get stuff done to it.
What kind of mileage does the Prius get?
Prius sedan is about 50 (or more depending on how conservatively you drive). Our Prius V is closer to 40-42 and can get 45 in local driving with no quick accelerations.
A worthy compromise.
I'd say that now that Soupbone is retired...and his wife soon-to-be, that they should move down to a luxe condo right on our 17-mi Lakefront running/biking path. He should sell ALL his cars, take lessons, and become my golk partner! I'd show him how to play golk using transit only, at over 100 courses in the Chicago area. A new form of O...Transit O!
While his wife puts her networking skills to use, joins Penny Pritzker and the other doyennes of social and political change, and really multiplies her talents to do good. She's been wasting her skills up there at that small country reformatory long enough!
My Ford Cmax gets 40 mpg for the life of the vehicle so far. It's not as big as the Prius 5, so not as good as the little one. Problem I have is driving I am always looking at what kind of milage it's getting. Sorta of distracting I would say.
What WWCS says is not true, I would rather be in the country with all our animals. That keeps a person so busy they don't need golk in their life. Also I would rather run in the quiet woods than avoiding traffic on the all so busy lakefront path.
As far as my wife wasting her skills in the country reformatory, she is really big in helping change the state of IL in how they handle child care in residential schools for the better. Helping keep some of the problems away from you neck of the woods in the city.
Anyway got to go to a local O meet in Morton Grove near the city of Chicago. Come on out its a couple of easy sprints and well can go out for beers and watch the Chicago Bears or even the Cubs of that's your choice.
Also my dog does not like the city streets cause she's a country dog. Not to mention 6 cats.
SIx cats? SIX CATS? Did you keep the entire litter?
At least you're down to only one dog now. And he would have ball with the other dogs, over at the neighborhood dog park. And since he's a rat terrier, I could turn him loose in my basements...lots of rats down there I'd like to get rid of.
Rent a Rat Terrier is available, could bring some cats too if that would help. But not if you have set out poison before.
lots of rats down there
Chi is always tempting us with the advantages of city life.
I will take mice and chipmunks any day over rats! But there are lots of them and you see these traps in alleys all over the place. They need more Rat Terriers in the city instead of all the leash dogs.
