Big update from Rootstock Racing: The Crooked Compass Adventure Trek is now the first event in the 2016 Adventure Series.

With our Adventure Series, we have taken a 24-hour adventure race and broken it down into its three primary components, spread over the course of the season. All three races continue to highlight the team-nature of adventure racing and will include navigation and potentially small special challenges or small additional sections, but they will generally be focused on a single-discipline. The events may vary in length, but they typically will range from four to eight hours.

The Events:

April 2 16: Crooked Compass – Foot-specific race
June 25 2016 (tentative date): The Jolly Rodger – Paddle-focused race**
November 5 2016 (tentative date): The Wild Pig – Mountain bike-focused race

**There will be no solo category for the Jolly Roger**

The Grand Prize:

We may still sweeten the pot a bit, but the series prize to the top team will consist of the following:

Custom Jolly Rodger carbon canoe paddles
Branded apparel
Prizes from our sponsors
One free team-entry into Rootstock Racing’s Two Rivers Adventure Race
