.. I am waiting to hear the rest of the story! - by the way a great result - impressive for a first one.
Great result GM. Bet it was way too flat for you. Looking forward to reading detailed description of whole experience.
onya grantm. Way to tough it out at the end and keep on chugging along. Your time is better than my only mara ;)
well done mate. Plenty of lessons learnt. I wonder how your time to 32k compared with your time for 32-42k? Probably not 50:50 but maybe? I can relate to the struggle starting where yours did. My year doing Melbourne was the same - coming back along Beaconsfield Pde towards Fitzroy St and thinking I shouldn't be feeling this bad!!! Great achievement to finish and sounds like you've got a taste for em now. ;)
My time to 32km was about 163 mins and then 66 min for last 10km, so that's 71:29 but psychologically the split is closer to 50:50
Yeh figured it was nowhere near half but felt like more than half! Forgot to say your report was a great read too!
well done GM and great writeup! its amazing how 10kms is so different after you've already run 32
And massive congratulations to MaryMac too!
Enjoyed reading the long k by k report. Big congratulations to you GM and pass on congrats to MaryMac.
Yeh well done MaryMac. I'd love a MaryMac report......if you are reading this Mary!
Nice work Grant - super effort, a marathon is always a very long way!
