Congratulations...you are awesome!
I saw Stefan's pics and wonder what was in the aluminum foil? The framed photo is a fitting memento too.
This was what was in the aluminum foil:
(let me know if you can't see it; served from facebook which probably has some weird permissions stuff going on)
It was delicious!! I'm sorry I didn't find you to give you a piece; I was trying to share.
Wow...looks delicious. Blueberry pie (or cheesecake)? How appropriate. ;-)
Homemade or from the Peekskill bakery where the Lowlander prizes came from?(pastries! First time anyone besides the top man/woman got anything at the Lowlander...hope the tradition continues)
Ooh, that sounds delicious. I think Geoff Connor's wife made the tart, and it is truly a piece of edible artwork. Some sort of custard-y blueberry filling on quite a delectable shortbread crust.
I posted a photo on my Facebook page but FB wouldn't give me a photo link, so I put a link to the FB entry in my log
Cathy's tarts are guaranteed scrumptiousness. Worth winning, well done!
Nice write up, can relate to most of it, that why I chose to help rather than run. Kudos for running it!
Congrats Alex! I'm really happy to hear that your motivation is returning.
Yes, Cathy made the tarts! Congrats, Alex!
I'd love to see the QuickRoute!
Congratulations! Excellent run!
I was wondering if we should set up routegadget... but wasn't sure how many peoples' GPS lasted the whole time? I know how to set it up (if I remember correctly) if I can get the right files from Kseniya.
Mine lasted, would love to see RG and compare notes.
Mine lasted. That would be interesting. I know there are some good route choice legs I'd like to see.
I quickrouted! Well, just the first two maps; I stole them from Jordan's DOMA, and the last was really blurry. So I figured I'd wait for a better version :)
I'd like to know who took the left-trail route to 31; I discarded the idea during the race because it looked longer and I didn't feel I had the speed in my legs to take a distance hit, but measuring it today, it's actually shorter.
You're welcome for the first two and I'm sorry the third was a poor image.
It's shorter? Wow, gotta find time for some post-race analysis. Also interested in that route choice, among others.
You could alternatively add your gps tracks to 2drerun -- http://3drerun.worldofo.com/index.php?id=156617&ty...
Slightly shorter by only a very little bit(~100m) with my rough swag and one less contour. So just run confident.
I think the right route was prettier.
That's ultimately why I went that way. I like running in the woods, not on roads.
I like running in the woods, too, but at that point I was definitely walking.
