Is it muscular or in the bone/ligaments? Muscle pain will go away easily if you're smart, and the school trainer can probably take care of it. Bone/ligament pain is tougher, and you should go see a doc. He could pull the "I'm feeling sick" excuse with his xc coach and skip a day of practice... probably should, after the effort last weekend!
Last time I ignored knee pain it didn't work out too well
School trainer took a looksee, said to ice it some, and keep it warm. I know I'm not reporting that right.
