Yes, aquajogging...and if your ankle is hurting when biking, see if you can get an air cast to stablize the ankle but allow for putting pressure so you can bike. I had a stress fracture in my foot back in 2000/2001 and was in an air cast for 3 months....so I can relate to your situation [working at a Construction site with an air cast was a fun experience :-)].
I totally support letting the ankle take its time, and letting your athletic goals take their time, too. Super bummer about this stupid ankle. I hope it heals well. Maybe soon you can ride a spin bike, and take spin classes, at least those have other people in them.
Thanks gals! Think it is doing better, probably was a bad enough sprain that I should have been in an air cast for a few weeks, but I think I'm now coming out of that time. The break suggested by the Xray I think is a previous injury, phew.
So now, super-careful ease back into things... but no rush, this should also be my 'low' season and recover for next year!
