running tour, likely not to race. apparently a great week (although kinda pricey). for those that also would want to do the race, they have a limited number of entry spots to provide tour participants!
Cool! They promoted that tour to participants last year but I wouldn't have been able to do much running in the week before a 101K so it was too ambitious.
If you're interested, we have maps and other info for that area. With a Rail/Bus pass, you could do a week of amazing self supported runs - probably more easily than anywhere else in the world. There are trains, buses and cable cars all over the place and restaurants and/or hotels in wonderful places, including some mountain tops. There are even luggage services that can move your bags although you could do great runs as day trips from a base hotel. You wouldn't get the camaraderie of other runners though, and that's probably part of the draw.
