Nice race, nice speed. You should try to break 13 for two miles.

thx, could be done, possibly on a flatter course. not too many 2 mile races around here, but a Frostbite 2 miler coming up Dec. 26. Any 2 milers in your future, hardcore?

matzah ball, have been thinking of a 2-miler since it is the distance I ran in community college (the last year as they went to 3 miles the next year). My last 2 miles in route to my 5K this year was 13:18 and last year I ran 5:58 street mile. So I may have the speed to break 13, but not sure I have the guts!! Would have to be a track attempt as there are no certified 2 mile courses I know of.

good times - go for it! maybe another record, eh? what about indoors track, maybe 3000 - seems like there are some good events of that nature up there. and thanks again for the encouragement!

Indoors is a great idea. May be able to get into "geezer" race.

i hope it's a bigger indoor track or you'd be running turns at speed the whole time. you might get dizzy running that fast on the indoor track at the Brentwood Y....

Bill_l, unlike us, it looks like they have a lot of 4,5,6 and 8 lap tracks in Minnesota. Some likely banked since they have had indoors national and state champ events.

that would be nice when it's icy out (more of a problem in MN) i guess they exist here too, but never having looked, no idea where.

I'm not aware of a banked indoor track in STL. WashU, SLU, and UMSL definitely do not. Maybe SIUE; they have a pretty big running program there.
