Well, it is a good idea to be a little cautious and conservative on the first control. You want to spike it and not blow your flow early. But perhaps a little too cautious? Or not being warmed up enough? (although I saw you loosening up and stretching - it looked like you were doing an adequate amount and intensity)

Consistency is a good thing. If you have both speed and consistently good navigation, that's a winning combination.

I don't think not warming up is the issue, I made sure that everything was loose and ready to go. I think the issue is caution.

We should try and get all of the map options for the training camps in the spring so that we can start to plan. Can we aim for Dec 31 to have all the maps found?

Oh the madness run is just a red coarse which is what you'd run if you were to come up here. Get as many maps as you can and we'll pick which to use ;P
