The Queenstown marathon course looks lovely - I mean it is probably the only one in the whole world that ever makes me think that maybe I should try one of those one day (the thought passes very quickly though). So if you think you've got the distance as long as you take it cruisier than probably you were intending to, I'd say yes, do it and just think of it as a chance to enjoy a nice day on the trails. And if it all comes together on the day anyway, even better.

yeah so far I am tending towards going for it as well! who cares if it's not a great time, the aim was always to just enjoy and tick it off the bucket list :)

think I might have found the weekend a bit harder because I am turning into a wimpy road runner too...

yep that happens - I've sometimes felt in the last few months I'm back to around the fittest I've ever been.... then get a huge reality check the moment I step into some proper terrain...
