Had I known in advance that you were going to Iraklion, I would have asked you to mail something for me from there. And had I known you'd have a near encounter with someone looking for Nazi memorabilia, I might have asked for his contact info in order to unload some of the stuff my father brought back from the war. (I think we recently found a place to dispose of the gun, with the proceeds to be donated to a Jewish charity. )
My brother will certainly be back there, not sure if again this year or not until next year (he's doing research there). Shall I inquire when? He could mail something for you.
Assuming it's not some Nazi memorabilia....
No, it's a small bag of nuts (the kind that go with bolts). The postmark is more important than the contents, this is part of a retaliatory joke on a friend from Daedalus days ("driving him nuts" trying to figure out where they're coming from, after he once sent me a box of marbles asking if I had lost them). Depending on how soon Andy expects to be going, that might work out. Or alternatively, if he has some contact there who could receive a package and re-mail the package enclosed within.
