On Census day 2006, I went straight to work after arriving from Europe, which meant my journey to work started in Arhus, Denmark, and involved a bus, a train, a ferry, two more trains, three planes, another bus and some walking. My ABS contacts tell me my response would probably have been coded as "respondent error".
Well it was. Going straight to work after a flight from Europe!
Hmm...possibly the ABS would believe me if I reported having bought a $800 pair of shoes, but my friends certainly wouldn't!
Blair, isn't there a rule, or maybe it's a guideline, that you should not, or maybe it's shall not, tell the same anecdote on the same person's AP log more than once in any calendar year?
Also I may have confounded the survey by reporting that the items I bought at a butcher's were in fact apricot pie & cream :)
Poor survey guy spent a couple of hours with us last night. He looked a little sad when he realised that a truck driver earns rather more than he does (presumably by working a lot more hours though).
You could tell him he earns more than an unemployed accountant!
Uhh, thanks but it seems application for these positions closed 18 months ago.
Also $20p/h? I could beg more than that.
