Interesting theory. Sounds plausible as we see fewer around though can't see fawn predation to cause a one year drop. More likely the severe winter snow cover of last season possibly? Whatever, my garden thanks the results.
Update: last evening R&Z & I were headed down toward town and had to come to a stop to let two young deer decide which way to get out of the road, in front of the same logger's house.
