I was basically 1:58 but felt a little bit better when I saw some of the other posted times. It was definitely physical today.

Apparently that was good for 7th place... wow.

#8 was eevil! I got poked in the eye with a stick in our erroneous first attempt (I did it with a hiking friend who wanted to try a brown course.) We had a good time, though I think she got more than she bargained for on the second half of the course in the green tulge.

Good job to Annie and Julie. We greeted Annie's dad and Julie's mom within a couple minutes of each other. :-)

Was #8 the ruin in green?
If so, I got poked in the eye also. I actually found the control with one eye because the other was closed and tearing.

Yes, brown 8 was the eevil ruin. I hope your eye is OK. Mine was not as bad as yours, as my eyelid took the brunt of it and got a scratch.

We should blow that ruin up, so course setters stop using it. Maybe move a large boulder just off the yellow area to replace it, or push over a tree to make a rootstock, or dig a dry ditch or level out a charcoal terrace. Anything.
