That's for sure! I underestimated that trail.
You have nothing to prove to anyone at this distance, which you've done a bunch of times, so it's all the more impressive that you chose to tough it out to the end. It sounds like a painful day. I found the wonky aid station distances mentally challenging too. Fortunately the extra race course distance wasn't as far as it could have been, based on how wrong those aid stations were.

I am impressed how well you fought through the mental parts of racing The Bad Thing. Physical fitness is one thing, but mental toughness is a step beyond that. See you out there again sometime!
