I saw a kit-kat bar on my run too! I was so hungry, I almost picked it up and ate it.

I saw a mounds on Sunday on a walk with Artemis...I'm lucky she didn't eat it!

I saw a single cross country ski boot in the middle of the woods last night during our night-O training. I would take a KitKat instead. We don't have those here.

Yea, the ski boots do not taste good at all!
BTW, talking about skiing, that shell not be taxing on the ankle ;-), unfortunately nothing in sight right now on the East coast.

AliC, I would recommend to wear ACE soft braces for all runs that you have now. On both ankles for symmetry! Something like this
They helped a lot with my case of bad sprained ankles and allowed to continue training on more or less good level. At some moment you would realize that you don't need them for running. You would need to tape both of your ankles for any run on terrain or orienteering though for the rest of your life.
As Greg alluded more skiing and cross-training is good too :)
Please completely recover before March!
