If your data is getting to Garmin Connect, then you can grab those same files from the computer's sync folder. FIT files are the best (inside "Activities")
Sync folder location is different depending on whether you are running Ant Agent
or Garmin Express
. Also, Garmin Express will never work with the communicator plugin, you always have to pick the files yourself.
Dunno if that helps.
Thanks, Kenny! Somehow whatever my computer was doing before the crash seems to have changed. But Gamin Connect and Garmin Express are working for me. That link was helpful - I can go into the library and pull the file from there. Can anyone direct upload to attackpoint anymore?
Well, I guess what you are really asking is can anyone upload directly to AP using the Batch Entry function while using an ANT stick.
As long as my Garmin 305 still manages to hold on, I will be happy that it manages to play nicely with AP. Well, at least most of the time.
I'm not sure what you mean by directly. I have to go through that folder that Kenny mentioned above, but I don't have to use Garmin Connect or Garmin Express; in fact, I don't really know what those are.
I'm still using an ANT stick and seem to be able to do batch entry (I tested it up to the point where you click submit, so I got all the lines of training filled in.) I'm using Chrome which stopped working with the Garmin Transfer button a while ago but the Upload Files option works almost as easily. You have to find the folder on your computer where the garmin files are stored which is actually hard to do except Kenny told you how above, and then I recommend saving a shortcut to that folder in your favourites. Then just select whatever gps files you want to upload, ctrl click to select more than one at once for batch entry, and they should just go into AP like normal.
If you don't use Chrome and do not have Garmin express installed, the batch entry upload works with ANT stick and any garmin which support it via the garmin connector plugin. :-) So don't install GExpress is the solution! (The only drawback is that I have not managed to update the firmware in the unit without the garmin express)..
Oh hmm, didn't know I was supposed to be updating the firmware.
