It looks like you took a lot of routes that were not just straight line, like one normally does in Uppsala. Is it something about the runnability there?

Yeah, it is all about finding best runnability here. It can varies a lot and not always easy to guess from the map. Mostly the tops are open and hard rocky surfaces, but unfortunately it is not 2.5m interval like in Uppland... Saving contours is also an important issue. All in all, you need to avoid all the steepest parts of the terrain which kills your speed and running strenght.

A good example from this morning´s training.

Staying in the slopes is, most of time, slow and harder technically. Quite often, the best is to pick the control from the top, even do it costs some extra climbing.

Wow, those are cool examples. Definitely not the routes I would imagine taking if this were Uppsala - or most places in the U.S.
