put things into context but, the Ford F-150 has been the best-selling vehicle in the US for more than 30 years, and one of the newest petrol ones gets 16.6 litres per 100 kms! compared to a Golf diesel which gets 7.8L/100km (both stats from
https://www.fueleconomy.gov, both those figures are higher than what the manufacturers claim here, eg supposedly 4.9L/100km for the Golf - the tests must be pretty different)... no doubt the content of the emissions are different, but surely the sheer bulk of crap coming out the back of those American Fords is a case of pot/kettle...
