admirers know what to make of this. For their benefit: you are/were a very happy camper regarding all this. Exultant after your run and at dinner. Pleasure to be with.

:) Yes, I'm still very happy about this. Prepping for Dirty Bird!

I am happy? for you. At least there is an answer. Are you only limited by pain or discomfort?

Minor discomfort in certain positions (lateral movement), occasional sharp pain when I go 'too far', often orienteering (falling, map reading on rough terrain), IT band inflammation and deep aching there occasionally because I've been compensating for the arthritis and not properly strengthening and working on range of motion. PT should fix the IT band issues, which is what is interfering with running ... so yippee! New hips someday probably, but I'm not close to that for the foreseeable future. So also yippee! :)

Thankfully, my hips seem fine so I cant say I know how you feel but I have an idea. At my annual Dr visit this week, I finally brought up my knee and ankle pain. Preliminary diagnosis is arthritis. I have scripts for x-rays. Hoping it will be on the mild end. Once I find out the degree the problem, I can say, I know how you feel :)
