Keep at it, mix in a few shorter pieces at speed. Your pace will improve soon.

OK. Hope to start with some speed this week. But workouts are wiping me out for a few hours afterward now. And I have to get downtown to catch the early train out to the golf courses this morning.

BTW nice Sunday evening piece you rowed after the Patriot's game. Very impressive pace for such a distance.

I was pleased with it. It has been a while since I was under 21 for 5k. Maybe this is the year for it.

You put a lot of effort into regular workouts and the rather complex and demanding pursuit of golk. Seems reasonable that sometimes you might get tired.

Well today I hustled out to the "original" golf course (click History) west of the Alleghenies:

The site that was chosen to build the first Chicago Golf Club was a sixty-acre stock farm owned by a golfer who had immigrated in 1890 to the United States from Scotland where the game of golf was first played in 1774. Since no regulation cups were available, the course used tin cups. The golf course was completed and ready for play in the late spring of 1892. Thus America's first golf course west of the Allegheny mountain range had been established.
