what a string of bad luck. hope its not as serious as it sounds.

mind if I ask you a toe question - you seem to be the resident expert. My big toe cracked at the bottom and is now pulling away, and new growth is forming underneath, but doesnt seem to extend to the bruised/bloody upper part, maybe just halfway or so. At what point is it advisable to pull it off, or do you just leave it until it falls away?

I usually leave it until it's pretty loose and then remove it with pliers. There's no real downside to removing it sooner except that it hurts quite a bit if the connecting skin is still alive.

This latest injury is probably not going to interfere with training. If it is broken, it's the very tip which is not weight bearing. I'm still planning on returning to running this weekend.
