The rankings website can help you find out...
Yes, I actually know that Leigh Bailey, from Canada. Trouble is, someone named Leigh Bailey was at this local meet of ours, and one of the meet officials referred to Leigh Bailey as a "her", so the possibility exists that the Leigh Bailey at Pacheco was someone else, perhaps a female from the Bay Area - that's why I put the question mark.
Geoman was at the download station all weekend at Pacheco - maybe he knows.
I have known Leigh for many years. He is married to Gillian. They were down here visiting friends.
Maybe the official was referring to Gillian thinking that was Leigh? Anyway...
I just wanted to point out that the rankings site can sometimes be helpful in finding orienteers. They have to have been to an a meet fairly recently, though.
Right, Janet, I appreciate your effort. Just thought I'd explain why I had the question mark there. My guess is that the meet official, who was referring to an email exchange, hadn't met Leigh in person and made an erroneous assumption. Thanks to you and George for clearing up the matter.
P.S. The fact that Gillian didn't appear to be there and that Leigh was listed as BAOC in the results also made me hesitant to assume that it was the Leigh Bailey we all know.
