Be super duper careful that you're using good form when you're lifting, and progressing in a careful manner as you add weight. It is really easy to hurt your back when you're lifting, and in some cases, that damage can be permanent. So, please be cautious!

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Today I felt pretty stiff, but so did everyone else. We were doing max tests so it isn't too surprising that there was pain yesterday and today.

Second Alex's comment. Max tests are supposed to gauge where you are at, but if you don't have the form or know the technique trying to push to your make can be risky. Make sure to pick the brain of whoever is running the lifting session about proper form. If you need advice let me know what lifts your doing. Its usually better to take a couple weeks to learn the techniques before you go for a max test that way you are engaging the right muscles for the given lift and not trying to force if with other muscle groups. You also get a better reading of what is week and what is strong. Be smart!

Yeah, we had a session earlier this week about proper technique, and we've been doing these lifts since September.
