Thanksgiving hasn't even stopped some if the stores here.
I think the Thanksgiving rule was abandoned long ago in the US but I have hope that the Norwegians are capable of instituting a rule for it, to go along with all the special shopping and tax stuff in December. Or not, they like Christmastime.
Can we have a Thanksgiving rule too? (Actually, I'd settle for a Melbourne Cup Day (first Tuesday in November) rule).
'Bent has a December 1 rule for Christmas music in his dental office. Otherwise, we can see Christmas stuff any time after Hallowe'en. Brutal.
Blair, I imagine early Christmas decorations are an even worse problem in the antipodes. At least here the pretty lights do help offset the dreariness of a dark and rainy November.
Yeah, all these December holidays that celebrate lights must seem pretty weird when it's the middle of summer.
