Congrats and welcome back to the 9-5 grind
Why does a company in receivership need an accountant? By definition they have no money, so....what are you doing? :)
Congrats on a bridging time filling diversion/occupation and so soon.Lots would be envious.
Their previous accountant left last week and they still need someone to continue the month end process until the business is wound up. I also was surprised when I got told about the role then did some research online to realise that was the case. I've been told it will be very quiet for the most part (there are five employees now including me).
Bryce, 9-5? My contract says 8-5 for some reason but I got here at 8:45 this morning and was lucky to catch one woman who'd only just opened up the place. She said the FC only gets here at 9am so I'm not entirely sure why I am meant to get here an hour before everyone else.
You've got to fill the urn, turn it on and make sure all the coffee cups are clean.
Actually I asked the boss and he said 9-5 so that's okay then.
Of course I got sent home sick on my first day. Now that's making an impression! Eight years at Paladin and I never once went home sick once I'd gone in to work.
With only 5 employees, no-one can afford to get sick.
I think it's nice that you were homesick.
So, yo bro - are you fully sick?
That joke is like, fully shit.
Incidentally it was a recruiter who got me this position so I have to take back some of the bad stuff I said about them. Not all of it though.
C'mon tRicky, don't go soft on us now!
So, how is day two going? Plenty of time to spend on AP?
Haha, that's what my body is going through trying to mark these year 8 health tests.
Any males with fallopian tubes, or is that not year 8 any more?
Last I heard, sex ed is to be taught to 3 year olds.
