The auld fast twitch weren't exactly all cylinders firing. Haven't gone that deep into lactic hell in a long time.
It wasn't at all "controlled"

Slipping on each other's bodily fluids. Gotcha

So much for Controlled and sensible and be the last man standing after more reps!

Uncontrolled - yep. That first 400 cruelled the session - each of the next 7 reps were at a slower speed than the previous; he was carking it. Without that 2:40 rest after rep 8 who knows what would have happened.

Can you blame him though. First time he's been let loose on a session in a while. His little heart was probably bursting with joy.

My little heart was bursting alright!
That 2:40 rest wasn't long enough.

In a way it's a pity we weren't allowed to run the session properly. You get so much more out of it. Live and let live. No one died. It's just lactic
