But where's the covered wagon???

Pink Socks:
The front view of a covered wagon doesn't really resemble a covered wagon. It looks more like some sort of magnet or parachute contraption...

So what NorAm O club needs the biggest 'refresh' logo wise?

Will makes a strong case above.

NEOC should embrace the hipster-troll look. Very current.

Oh god. The question should really be, "Which clubs *don't* need a logo refresh?"

Edmonton is bad. So is this one. But so many others aren't great. And even the "good" ones have flaws.

I kinda agree with Nev on the hipster troll of NEOC. It kinds reminds me of the St. Louis Billiken and the Elfie logo of the Cleveland Browns.

That said, SLU just refreshed their Billiken logo last week, and the Browns don't use Elfie anymore.

I guess the point is: NEOC could definitely use a modern logo, but I think there's some equity and history in keeping around some sort of troll mascot. Yes, it's bad, but it's more endearing than a front-view of a covered wagon or an exploding volcano with an off center Jesus star.

The NEOC troll kinda looks like Vladimir G, they should modernize it with Ed's beard instead. ;-)

The HVO ship won't go away entirely either -- lots of o-tops out there with it...

Well, the good thing about orienteering is that o-tops get trashed pretty easily, so people should replace them pretty regularly.

But, the bad thing about orienteering is that orienteers are cheap and won't get new o-tops when they should, and end up wearing outdated, stitched-up, pieces of patchwork clothing.

There are some of the navy/green/yellow/white CascadeOC jerseys still being worn out there (circa early 2000's), and even some of the maroon/teal ones from before that (mid 1990's).

Speaking of jerseys, I've only officially competed in a CascadeOC jersey twice. Podium both times. Hmmm...

If you call it an Otop and not a jersey then it must be old and ripped and faded with the old logo on it ;-)
