kbreseman: Hey everyone! Go join club groups under the Community tab!
Maybe that way I can find out who I know that's on here... :)

barb: How do you join a group?

#  Posted 2007-09-06 17:49:20
ccsteve: Click community - groups is now the first tab. Click on your group and find the join button.

I like the concept and start of it - group member's activities merged together so I can see where else people are going. (and if it's close enough for them, it might be close enough for me;-)

Suggestion - we need an indicator on our home page when there are group messages. (like when there is activity for a favorite account)

ken: you should see already have an indicator on your home page (under recent discussion) when there are new messages since you last visited your group page, but you won't see anything there unless this is the case.

kupackman: I created two Orienteer Kansas groups by mistake. I put too much text into the the description field of the first one, and it created the group without making me the owner (so I couldn't edit it). I created a second group and so far it's working ok.

The first group can be deleted now, but I can't do it myself.

randy: It would be nice to be able to set a default or primary group for yourself, and have one-click access to that group from your main page. Perhaps there is a way to do that already and I missed it.

Wyatt: KEN, A link to the the little "Your Groups" link list under Home page "Your Favorites" would be good for quick access.

#  Posted 2007-09-07 20:03:14
Wyatt: I like the Group Events consolidation. Would it be possible to do the same thing somewhere for Your Favorites? E.g. see/highlight the events Your Favorites are going to? E.g. ensure that when the Events list is filtered, it always includes the Events that Your Favorites are going to, and maybe, add another number somewhere in the table that indicates # of Your Favorites going to the event?

bbrooke: Bug? When I click the "edit group" link, it takes me back to the listing of all groups (rather than letting me edit my group's details).

Krügerol: just a question: who is allowed to create groups ?

#  Posted 2007-09-12 16:31:35
BorisGr: As far as I can tell, anyone can create groups.

#  Posted 2007-09-12 16:47:05
Krügerol: I'm not :(

"You aren't allowed to create groups, but you can join them."

Jagge: I think you need to practice more than 14 hours per week or get top 100 placing in Jukola to get permission to create groups.

#  Posted 2007-09-12 20:13:23
ebuckley: My understanding is that beta functionality is available to the "ranked" AP'ers. You can also buy your way in, which you should really do anyway. Kenny puts a lot of effort into this site.

bubo: ...top 100 placing in Jukola to get permission to create groups...

Hmm, in that case not even Ken or any other CSU'ers would be allowed to start a group ;-)

#  Posted 2007-09-15 17:25:11
Nick: to bubo : it was.."or"

#  Posted 2007-09-16 00:01:11
bubo: Yeah, I noticed the 'or' but the 14 hrs per week didn´t help either... unless that would be total for the whole club and not an individual.
