Even with the weather system that moved in at the finish line, it was loads of fun - a true adventure in the middle of a city. Very cool! I hope the Stars will keep the Night O Cup in future years. I've only heard great things.

I think the night race will only get more popular. I really liked the map layout and drawing. probably the best of the Stars maps I've seen. neat area. would be great for ARK.

It was a long day for being outside. Perhaps having access to a building and/or moving the training to the late morning and then have the two races closer together might not 'split' the participation.

Being involved with ARK we have lots of training at night in the autumn and winter so last night was similar to a lot of what we do (though we have had a fair number of night races and trainings in the forest). DGL will be having X-League weeknight races this winter and as we expand ARX to all ARK locations I can see the X-League growing to outside of Hamilton in winter 2017.

Thanks again for a fun day.

You're welcome. I was surprised and encouraged to meet quite a few new people, and even some that had never orienteered. I really appreciate all those that could and did stick around for both races.

Hammer, thanks for recognizing the map layout. I have been trying to improve in that area for some time. It doesn't come natural, but I'm slowly learning the tools of the trade.
