Get Joel to move the race a week earlier and I will paddle for you.......

But seriously, why run it the week after every one returns to work. He is only going to get school teachers and similar bludgers to travel down for it.

Returns to work from what?

Any Big 4 accounting firm will have their employees on enforced leave through most of January!

It's more likely more people will be on leave in early January than early December I guess, but I doubt he's thought of that. Albany Half didn't suffer from a lack of participants - and was on the chosen weekend last year. He'll probably get a small number of extra participants this time around as last year wasn't a shambles, but I still expect it to be very small scale.

But aren't accountants scared of daylight? so that doesn't help entries.

Ah well. there is always (maybe) next year

mmm well sitting in the accountants category and big 4 - thats my last weekend off and I am tempted by it - but my first week back is a junkit in sydney which I am organising so still debating it.

Wally, January is next year. Also I think you're confusing accountants with iiNet staff.
