Wolvhammer- really! These are winter worthy boots.

They even make a warmer one:

I use a lesser MEC version which is built like an XC ski boot.

try this layering. cycling shoes, farmer socks over shoes (make cut out for cleat), then cycling booties on top. cheap and totally works.

thanks everyone. Both Tarno and I didn't even have the cycling booties on so serves us right.

Once it gets cold enough for those high tech shoes I'll hopefully be XC skiing. :-)

Those Lakes look really good! I used to go the bootie route with special liner socks and insoles, but it's just so easy to pull on winter biking boots over any old sock.

Katta treated me to a pair of Wolvhammer boots last year for Christmas. Very spendy but wow, do they ever work well...

But, GNSCC skiing will also fit the training bill quite nicely, if/when we ever get snow up here!

Snow will arrive once Sudden visits though I hope we have snow at New Years cause we need it to have the Bon fire

Bonfire By the Bay?

That would be a good idea too but the pile of wood for the bonfire is currently sitting at the back of the waddtage property.

You need more training hours.
If you move it you could log it as strength training.
