Same with the night 5 Miler in Banff, I'll take a look into that. I wonder how much snow they expect around then?

Last time I visited Banff in November, it was very snowy - but not so deep that you couldn't enjoy one of the lower hiking trails.

I think you can sign up race day Mark. Jen Silverthorn is the of the RDs. Long slow for me going up, see if I can hammer the down and back portion.

The race is on roads in Banff and really what is 8k even in snow. More of a fun run i think since there are tons of people signed up for it.

Only time I visited banff in winter it was Xmas and there was NO Snow. But hamilton got a 50cm snowstorm on XMAS day. Oh the irony.

Any thoughts on the climbing if you did any portion of it?

Yeah - try to avoid it if possible, wear women's pants, eat a sub before you go out and make sure you get out of bed before noon you lazy grad student (masquerading as an employed person).

Yeah if only if it was as flexible as a grad student. But its soooo true, it is a life of a grad student but more responsibility and hell of a better pay. Yesterday I got free food and booze by attending the welcoming ceremonies, felt like grad school all over again, especially when the grad committee thought i was a new student!

The short pants might come out just for you Wes. 14C tomorrow. I'll make sure I'll stock up on a Bacon Combo classic right before the climb.
