Congratulations, Jason. We watched closely from the comfort of a computer screen and were so impressed with everyone's resolve. That mucky trek in last year's ARWC in Ecuador sounded like a cakewalk compared to some of the landscape and conditions you guys had to endure. Good on you for getting to the finish line with no injuries from the mysterious entity you encountered in the swamp...Lee and I shuddered when we read that.
Holy cats what a race. An anaconda? I watched river monsters a few too may times while you all were down there. Wow.
Wow..what a race! And a crazy one at that! Glad you guys came out in one piece and are able to drink beers and tell stories :). Cheers to finishing and enduring the pain to the end. Congrats!
Amazing race performance and great report.
I'm going with swimming jaguar:
Thanks for the report! Hopefully feet heal quickly! I'm going with underwater chupacabra!....guess that experience fueled you for the next few hours and will provide a story for a lifetime!
Wow, I can only imagine how nervous you must have been from the moment you realized that your feet weren't good and there was a lot of race left...
Way to tough it out!
Holy cow, that encounter would freak me out completely. And awesome job making it through all that with your feet! Seriously tough.
Well done sir. That sounds like quite the race.
Tough race, congrats on getting it done!
awesome race, report, and pix!
Thanks for the pix. Looks prettier than I had imagined.
What a race. Craziness and amazing pics!
